The Bureau of Internal Revenue issued Revenue Memorandum Circular (RMC) No. 97-2021 which clarifies the taxes individual social media influencers must pay, including instances when they earn income outside the country. It also reminds them to register with the Bureau or update their registration information. Failure to comply entails penalties under the law.
