On June 30, 2021, Republic Act 11569 was signed into law further extending the period of estate tax amnesty for two more years from June 15, 2021. The estate tax amnesty program provides an opportunity for the settlement of unpaid estate tax liabilities with a reduced rate of 6% for estates of decedents who died on or before December 31, 2017.
